What makes a good friend?

I think that a good friend must have some particular things: A friend must be particularly happy and not very shy because I'm really shy and if the two are shy I think that it's impossible to have a good relationship. Then it's important for a friend to be a good listener and to have a good heart. I think that a good friend must know what you like and try not to do upset you all the time. Finally the best definition for a friend is a person who tries to make your life a bit nicer.
